Zounds! It's My Wish List!

There are some things you need when traveling... and some things you just want. So far, I've been able to manage with what I've had. But if I could choose anything I wanted to help complete my job, I think I'd ask for these things.

Story ideas. Yes, even I have trouble sometimes coming up with ideas. I'd love to have people send me ideas for things I could feature in Tie Dye Travels -- places to go, things to eat, activities that will be entertaining. Ideas are always welcome.

A new camera. Don't get me wrong -- my little Fuji FinePix 2800Zoom is helpful -- it's taken most of the pictures on this blog.
But my friend here was purchased in 2002, same time as I purchased my own Gateway computer. It's lovely for candid shots, but twilight and evening shots are hard to get, the 32MB card only holds about 100 pictures, and the four AA batteries are quickly eaten. I'd love something that's very snap-click-save... something I can use to grab quick images. Sure, I could use a 35mm, but that would require transition time that I sometimes don't have.

A younger car. I drive what has been, in my experience, the most reliable car I've ever driven. My 1997 Saturn SL1 has traveled all over the South and to points north like Iowa and Kentucky. After all these years, it's still sipping gas at about 30 miles to the gallon and is reasonably well seasoned. However, with more than 207,000 miles on the gauge, I am concerned.

My dream car right now, when it comes to writing Tie Dye Travels, would be a 2008 Saturn AURA Greenline. This beautiful hybrid sedan beats the 30 miles a gallon by several miles. And it has a nifty hookup for peripherals. Best of all, it's very similar to my current car in style and shape, which means I wouldn't be searching all over for the gear shift or turn signal.

There's probably more, but that's the easy bit.

UPDATE 1/1/17.
Well, I don't know what I was thinking here, but I'm letting it stand.
