Lakeshore Treehouse Resort - A Lofty Haven at the End of Scenic Arkansas Highway Seven.

Arkansas’s longest state highway winds from south of El Dorado all the way up to Diamond City. There, right at the end of the highway, you’ll find three treehouses you can stay in. Let's check out the Lakeshore Treehouse Resort.

Hunter and I were hosted at one of the treehouses at the end of our legendary trip along Scenic Highway Seven this past week.

The Lakeshore Treehouse Resort consists of three treehouses perched on trunk stilts right next to Sugarloaf Harbor Marina. We stayed in the Arrowhead Ridge Lodge - a two-story, 1100sf modern cottage with just about everything you can think of for a relaxing visit.

There are a lot of amenities in this big green house alongside Bull Shoals Lake. On the main level, you’ll find a full sized kitchen with marble countertops, dishwasher, oven and rangetop, fridge and all sorts of dining gear. Off the kitchen is a bathroom with walk-in shower and a washer and dryer.

The main room serves as both living room and bedroom, with a couch and chairs surrounding a flatscreen TV and a gas stove on the left – and a queen sized bed and two-person Jacuzzi tub on the right.

Upstairs in the loft, there’s another queen sized bed along with two twins and another flatscreen TV. This second level is accessible by a spiral staircase, and it’s open to the level below.

Around the outside of the cottage is a wrap-around deck, complete with deck chairs and table. Carefully placed lights line the underside of the eaves, and a ceiling fan rotates overhead for additional comfort.

Underneath the cottage is a great area for outdoor enjoyment, with a gas grill secured under the steps. There’s also a large outdoor couch and swings that the kids enjoy… and a horseshoe pit for pitching. There’s plenty of room for a cookout under here.

The folks at the Lakeshore Treehouse Resort have stocked this cottage well, with plenty of coffee and sugar, and with a plethora of candles for relaxing. The tub has a neat constantly changing light to illuminate the water when you’re taking a soak in the big bay window. There are plenty of fresh towels and linens, and lots of room to stretch out in. There are even board games, should you get bored.

Arrowhead Ridge Lodge is a comfortable place to hang out, and it’s certainly memorable. You’ll find more information at the Lakeshore Treehouse Resort website.
