Honestly, there are all the brews at the Rockin' Pig, a great place to kick back in Eureka Springs. I didn't have one, but that did not keep me from enjoying the relaxed attitude at this bar and restaurant out on the US 62 Bypass.

Off The Main Highway Find the One of a Kind Cafe.
Sometimes you have to turn off the highway, follow the signs and see what's at the end of a path. We did just that Saturday, and found a permanent sandwich stand that's quaint, cute and serves some marvelous food, too - right between Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village off Arkansas Scenic Highway Seven. Let's check out the One of a Kind Cafe.

A Blueberry Fried Pie at Country Village Bakery in Star City.
There are too many items to confuse the mind at the bakery at Country Village near Star City. Between the cakes, the pies, the doughnuts, the loaves of bread and cookies and jams and jellies and canned goods and such, there are so many things to make the mouth water.
Yet it's a very good idea to keep your sense of purpose, to walk in and order a blueberry fried pie or three. Made from blueberry preserves created on-site, wrapped in doughnut dough and deep-fried, this is a pie with heft and moxie, and it deserves your full attention.

A Patty Melt and a Fried Pie at the Hurley House in Hazen.
I posted this picture a few days ago on Twitpic and asked people to identify it. I got a lot of answers, but no one even came close to figuring out that this patty melt is from the Hurley House Café in Hazen.
Unless you’ve traveled Highway 70 these past few years, you probably have never heard of the place. I haven’t seen any sort of advertising out there. It’s not that sort of place.
