102 More Things to Eat in Arkansas Before You Die.

There's too much good food in Arkansas to limit oneself to just 101 dishes to try. In my new book, 102 More Things to Eat in Arkansas Before You Die, I'll take you to even more places where extraordinary edible creations can be devoured. And you can order yours to arrive before Christmas.

On June 6, 2019, I woke up with an idea. I had this nagging thought in my head that I needed to answer the question "what should I eat in Arkansas" with a quick and substantial answer. Over the course of the next week, I'd ponder and fret, scribbling notes, checking through photographs, and generally worrying that no matter how I cut it down, limiting myself to just 100 Arkansas restaurants was going to be problematic.

My partner, Grav Weldon, finally broke through the building anxiety attack I was having and suggested I just write two books. So I did.

Over the course of the past five months, I collected in tandem the materials for two books. The first, 101 Things to Eat in Arkansas Before You Die, was released in Arkansas and contained primarily the restaurants we all know well. The second, 102 More Things to Eat in Arkansas Before You Die, includes not only great restaurants of renown but also hidden gems I have found along the way.

I had intended from the start only to include restaurants that had been around five years or longer, but I found I could not hold that limit for this second book. I have found so many wonderful locations, met intriguing people and enjoyed some of the best new cuisine in the state along the way. I was also compelled by my readers to visit and include one restaurant I had yet to visit and to consider another couple of places that I had written about but hadn't met the five year point. In the end, I feel confident I can stand by each and every one of these places.

Holding the book for that further research was a hard choice - I knew getting the book out in a timely fashion was key. But going back and revisiting my ideas and including Wright's Barbecue in Johnson, Beech Street Bistro in Crossett and Capo's Tacos in Hot Springs seems to have brought together a better book.

102 More Things to Eat in Arkansas Before You Die will be released the week of Thanksgiving, but will arrive in December thanks to the holiday printing and shipping rush. I'm offering my readers the opportunity to get in on the very first order. Books will be delivered in early December. The media will be alerted soon afterwards. These books, like 101 Things, retail at $17.99.

I'm also offering two special deals for my readers who order through these links.  If you'd like to get both 101 Things to Eat in Arkansas Before You Die and 102 More Things to Eat in Arkansas Before You Die together, I'll make you a deal. Both together are $30 if ordered by December 1st.

And if you'd like all four of the books I've put out in the past (counts on fingers) 20 months (20 months?!? How?) I'll make you a deal, too. Receive the two aforementioned books plus Arkansas Food: The A to Z of Eating in The Natural State and Another Slice of Arkansas Pie: A Guide to the Best Restaurants, Bakeries, Truck Stops and Food Trucks for Delectable Bites in The Natural State, for $85 plus shipping and handling - that's almost $11 off the combined price of $95.96 at retail price. Again, I need those orders by December 1st.

One more thing. If you'd like to give any of my books as a business gift - I can arrange for bulk orders of 20 or more books at even lower prices, where multiple copies of any of my books can be shipped directly to you so you can send them to your clients. However, these orders MUST get to me by November 29th. Yes, that's Black Friday. But hey, your client list would be covered for the year! Please message me direct at inquiries@tontipress.com.

Thank you again for all of your support.
